Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

22 Nov 2021

We know that there will be communities across Northern Ireland that will want to apply for National Lottery funding to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

There are a number of ways for organisations to apply to The National Lottery Community Fund to mark this occasion. This leaflet outlines options available.

The National Lottery Awards for All programme
The National Lottery Awards for All is accepting applications from communities developing projects costing less than £10,000 to join in with the celebrations.
Projects should still meet the standard aims and eligibility criteria set out for the Awards for All programme.
Whilst not essential, the strongest projects will also meet our three focus areas which are, promote relationships across generations; develop the skills and experience of communities; encourage the care of/action in the natural world as part of the celebrations.
We will also accept applications for one off events on the day of the Jubilee which meet this criterion.
The strongest applications will demonstrate a lasting impact beyond the event itself and it is likely we will receive more applications than we are able to fund.
Applications can take up to twelve weeks for a decision to be reached, so groups should take this into account when deciding on their project start date.

The Platinum Jubilee Fund
Our UK wide Platinum Jubilee Fund is open between 17 November and 15 December 2021. This programme will accept applications for larger two-year projects costing between £30,000 to £50,000.

Project ideas will need to focus on one or more of the following areas:
o Across Generations – Strengthening relationships between generations and creating a legacy for future generations.
o Community Renewal – Supporting new opportunities for people to develop skills and experiences in their local community, as well as opportunities to bring people together in new ways, and in new or different places and spaces.
o Our Shared Natural World – Deepening our care and action locally for the natural world.

As always, we are happy to chat to you about your project ideas.
