The Queen's Green Canopy is a unique tree planting initiative from October 2021 to March 2022, to mark HM The Queen's, Platinum Jubilee in 2002.

The Lord Lieutenant Dr Angela Garvey, was honoured to start the tree planting, by planting A Tree for City Schools, gifted by Her Majesty, at Ebrington Primary School, on 12 October,
and then to plant an oak tree at Altnagelvin Hospital on 13th October
